New Stuff and Inspiration

We like bacon and we like beer. We’d prob like this:

It’s the limited-edition Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Ale from Oregon craft brewery Rogue Ales and Spirits, and it’s quite intriguing. We’re hoping we can find one this evening at quitting time, to kick the weekend off right!

The next best thing to actually travelling

Travel yields great inspiration. And the guys over at Heads of State have created some cool travel-based printed ephemera under the nomenclature of Pilot & Cap’t. We’ve always been fans of the HOS, and we also are digging this stuff.

Lynx invisible ads

Pretty cool idea for Lynx in Australia.

We like the Black Keys, too, Deb

Deb “Spoons” Perry pretty much dominates choreographed spoons action. You heard it here.

Jim Glynn is about to get roasted.

We’re proud to have been able to work with Jim over the years and are looking forward to hearing all the dirty stuff people will say about him. See ya there tonight, folks.

Mini

We all know the famous Mini Ads that CP+B created, but have we all seen the stuff coming out of China? Here’s a spot we thought had some interesting art direction.

Drinkify your Friday

Well, we all know a Friday afternoon cocktail is a fabulous way to end a long week. And nothing goes better with frosty booze than a great tune. So go to Drinkify and type in what you’re listening to and see what you should be drinking while you rock out.

OBIEs

We’re happy to announce we were featured in the OBIEs again this year. Both our Wyoming Department of Health and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo campaigns were included, and we’re proud to have our work recognized alongside some of the best agencies’  in the US. The OBIE Awards recognize creative excellence in out of home advertising and is the oldest awards program in the advertising industry. For more than 120 years, the association has been dedicated to leading and uniting a responsible outdoor advertising industry that is committed to serving the needs of advertisers, consumers, and communities.

We’d just like to take a minute and thank the Wyoming Department of Health and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. They’re great clients and we love working with them to create award winning stuff. Over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to improve the health of Wyoming by featuring programs like smoking cessation, threw with chew and alcohol and drug related initiatives. We’ve also had a lot of fun spreading the word about the amazing and unique zoo experience the folks at CMZ are bringing to Colorado Springs. Thanks for the opportunity to work with you guys.

American Ninja

For all you armchair ninjas out there there’s these. “American Ninja” is a pair of cement filled Budweiser nun chucks created by Chen Chen and Kai Tsien-Williams.

Poo powered Wifi by Terra

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1xl6giKWxw

We’re apparently on a bit of a streak posting about domesticated pets (see below), but this idea was pretty neat. Terra, a mexican web portal company, is turning dog poop into free Wifi. They’ve created a device that calculates the weight of the canine fecal parcel and transforms it into free time to surf the interwebs. These nifty machines are placed in 10 parks in Mexico City and aim to urge dog owners to pick up after their pets, while also promoting Terra, of course.

This concept was created by BBDO Mexico. And it smells like poop.
