Flower power to the rescue.
Bees are becoming less common outdoors. And so are our kids. So, we teamed up with Generation Wild, Colorado State University Seed Lab, and Applewood Seed Co to create Wilderflowers, native wildflower seeds designed to be pollinator magnets.
100,000 packets of free Wilderflower seeds were sent to Little Free Libraries in every nook and cranny of the state. An integrated campaign launched the idea across out-of-home, theaters, digital, social and earned media.
It’s got the state buzzing and the kids off the couch.
Colorado without bees would really sting.
A recent study indicated that the Western Bumblebee population had declined by 72%.
What’s shocking is that 20% of our bumblebees are now at risk of extinction.
